Institutional Sales Position

Clearwater Advisors, LLC provides innovative fixed income investment management solutions. The Institutional Sales person is an experienced sales leader who possesses in-depth knowledge of fixed income products and a broad understanding of portfolio management. The sales person will have a proven track record of consistently meeting/exceeding sales targets. Successful candidates will have the ability to identify and build relationships with key decision makers within the various institutional channels including corporates, endowments, universities, etc. The candidate will be expected to build and execute a business plan designed to raise assets.

This position will be based in Boise and primarily covering the West Coast and Rocky Mountain Regions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate prospect relationships and develop sales pipeline by conducting appropriate market research on target prospects, initiating contact and conducting follow-up communications and qualified meetings
  • Represent the firm in conferences and external client functions
  • Understand Clearwater’s fixed income strategies and explain investment process and philosophy
  • Create sales opportunities through market research and product development
  • Build out new market segments through existing relationships and new client prospecting
  • Develop, implement and execute sales and marketing strategies
  • Coordinate responses to new business proposals (RFPs)
  • Develop knowledge of competing strategies, products and firms
  • Develop, implement and execute sales and marketing strategies
  • Create marketing material
  • Gather fixed income assets for management

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience in the asset management industry such as investment consulting, portfolio management/research, management consulting, internal/external relationship management and business development
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of fixed income products and a broad understanding of portfolio management
  • Possess an established network of relationships with key decision makers in corporations, endowments, universities and investment consulting firms, etc.
  • Own the sales process from lead generation to closing
  • Experience and ability to represent the firm at conferences and external client functions
