Your Team responsibilities -

Implementation Managers work directly with clients across all market segments (front and middle office), including hedge funds, banks, brokers, wealth managers, asset managers and pension plans. Implementation Managers direct and coordinate all work efforts internally and work with the client throughout the on-boarding process, which is organized as an implementation project, and which results in an enterprise solution in which our risk, performance and analytics products are integrated into the client's investment process. Implementation Managers manage several client on-boarding projects simultaneously. They form and lead virtual teams, along with Implementation Consultants, Risk Consultants, Product Mangers, Solutions Managers and Sales, dedicated to the clients.

Your key responsibilities -
  • Lead the presentation of Implementation Services during pre-sales and contract negotiations with clients and make recommendations on best practice of implementation in order to maximize the likelihood of success.
  • Understand client's requirements (analytic and technical) and client's detailed operation to translate into a well-defined solution architecture that aligns with MSCI's service catalog.
  • Take full responsibility and accountability for managing client implementation projects from initiation to seamless transition into operational service
  • Recognize, document and integrate in the solution planning any solutions gap that would require specific product development to meet client requirements.
  • Prepare and present clear and detailed project plans and solution definitions that comprise all deliverables that will be documented in the contract with the client
  • Define success criteria, establish and manage reasonable expectations, internally and externally
  • Organize resources required and establish milestones and timeframes internally and with clients
  • Coordinate internal and external effort to complete all planned tasks and resolve all unplanned issues
  • Communicate and report on project status/issues/risks with all stakeholders efficiently via appropriate media at agreed frequency
  • Escalate to project stakeholders critical issues and risk factors that might delay a deliverable or threaten effective project completion
Your skills and experience that will help you excel -
  • A minimum of five to ten years successful project management experience of large scale implementations in a client-facing role in the financial service industry
  • Knowledge of and experience with a variety of information technologies, including portfolio or risk management systems
  • Excellent understanding of financial products is required: equities, fixed income, derivative products and financial risk management techniques, portfolio management theory and performance attribution.
  • Project management certificate including Agile techniques (e.g. Agile Certification, PMP)
  • Strong communication, organizational, negotiating and problem solving skills
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably with a finance or engineering focus
  • CFA or FRM certification or MBA or Master's degree in finance or engineering is preferred
  • Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in other Asian languages is desirable.
