Responsibilities:
  • Manage the annual strategic planning process including creation, implementation and monitoring of company strategy and execution plan.
  • Work with different departments and stakeholders inclusive of but not limit to obtaining the relevant financial and business data and information needed to properly review the business momentum, conduct relevant research, identify business risks and opportunities etc.
  • Prepare regular or ad hoc materials with analytical and strategic information for management reviews including presentations, reports and dashboards.
  • Support strategic projects and initiatives including but not limited to exploratory assessments, market research, competitive analysis and M&A.
  • Become subject matter expert in the business momentum for Principal Hong Kong and ensure cross-functional alignment in business decisions and strategy development.
  • Coordinate and facilitate strategy and planning discussions with senior leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Timely delivery and excellent quality on deliverables - ability to demonstrate thinking out of the box, not accepting status quo, consistently looking for opportunities to improve/enhance areas of focus

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Management, Finance or other relevant disciplines. MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Professional qualification such as CFA, CPA, Actuarial is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in consulting, corporate development or corporate strategy office and/or financial service industry with good understanding of business strategy and management.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including developing relationships at all levels in an organization and indirectly influencing business decisions.
  • Skilled in synthesizing complex ideas into easy-to-understand materials, including delivery of executive-level presentations to leadership team and headquarters.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of business needs (both internal and external) and insights for developing differentiated strategies.
