About this role

Global Consultant Relations ("GCR") is responsible for driving new business through relationships with institutional investment consultants. GCR is represented globally across the US & Canada, EMEA and APAC. GCR is seeking a motivated professional to join our Toronto-based team. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the Canada Consultant Coverage team in maintaining a regular dialogue with investment consultants across the entire suite of BlackRock's investment capabilities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing an understanding of consultants' business models and their priorities to support the team's sales strategies;
  • Serving as a primary resource to consultants, responding to incoming queries and opportunities;
  • Coordination on consultant-related RFPs and databases;
  • Planning, coordinating and participating in meetings with consultants' manager research teams and field consultants;
  • Tracking and reporting on progress in executing team's commercial objectives; and
  • Collaborating with investment teams and client account managers to drive and protect business.


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with clients and/or consultants
  • Ability to build and leverage effective partnerships
  • Results oriented mindset with focused attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic, proactive self-starter and effective team player
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • BA/BS Degree
  • Has, or is working towards the CFA designation
  • Candidates fluent in both English and French preferred
