About this role

This person will be a key member of the Markets Coverage team within EII Americas responsible for leading fixed income ETFs for the team. The position is for a institutional fixed income ETFs specialist focused on expanding the institutional usage of FI ETFs across a domestic and international client base.

The Markets Coverage group is responsible for expanding ETF usage by developing ETF execution, relative value and derivative solutions for iShares clients across the US, Canada, and Latin America. This team member should have outstanding communication skills and the ability to connect with a broad range of clients as well as internal partners. This person will be accountable for understanding the nuances of trading ETFs, spanning all asset classes with a specific focus on credit ETFs. In addition, the candidate will be accountable for comparing trade and holding costs of ETFs to other investment vehicles. This role requires comfort in collaborating with internal working groups, sales and senior management to proliferate usage of our products.

Additionally, this person will manage a small team and be responsible for creating an inclusive, collaborative and high performing environment to work in.

Responsibilities

• Be a fixed income ETF trading subject matter expert and demonstrate in-depth product knowledge to promote ETF usage and differentiate iShares from competitor funds and other investment vehicles.
• Assist institutional clients in achieving best execution when trading iShares.
• Partner closely with sales, traveling to client meetings as necessary, to provide product specialist support with a focus on trading.
• Work closely with broker dealer partners on scaled distribution.
• Manage a team of fixed income specialists.
• Write ETF focused market insight pieces and trading research for both internal and external audiences. Collect, analyze and extract meaning from ETF trading data in an effort to produce relevant content and drive inflow.
• Monitor articles, white papers, and blogs that highlight potential issues with ETFs and help to coordinate the proper response, making sure it is consistent with our global message.
• Contribute to the enhancement of propriety ETF technology specific to bond trading and relative value.

Skills and Qualifications

• BA / BS in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or similar field.
• CFA a plus.
• 10+ years of direct experience with fixed income as an asset class inclusive of cash bonds, derivatives, volatility and ETFs.
• Credit Trading and/or Portfolio Management a plus.
• Series 7 and 63 required.
• In-depth experience in FI ETF including secondary market behavior and arbitrage.
• Able to multi-task and work effectively at various levels of an organization.
• Experience leading strategic project teams.
• Writing and editorial skills combined with interpersonal and communication skills.
• Resourceful, proactive and able to prioritize and navigate in a fast-paced team oriented environment.
• Skillful in working with Microsoft Office and Bloomberg.
