Manager Investment Analyst

ArchPoint is looking for a team member experienced in investment manager due diligence.  We work with family offices across multiple asset classes, and the new team member will be expected to assume responsibility for many existing manager relationships.  Strong written communications skills are critical to this role.  Opportunity for advancement into sourcing, due diligence of new opportunities, and co-investing/direct deals.  

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular interviews with ArchPoint’s external managers across multiple disciplines, including public equity, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and various hedge fund strategies. 
• Write concise notes on key drivers of performance, risks and outlook for each manager. 
• Prepare brief updates on each manager to be included in clients’ reports. 
• Maintain correspondence files and update performance information on each manager. 
• Support in the selection and evaluation of external managers.  This will involve detailed investment reports including quantitative and qualitative analysis covering the people involved, market opportunity, approach, risks, and opportunities among a variety of asset classes.    
• Provide client service support / project assistance as requested
• Evaluate and implement new software systems to better organize and track managers
• Improve quarterly report design and efficiency to family office clients

Qualifications/Skills:

• Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in investment manager evaluation covering at least one asset class.
• Institutional investment consulting experience a plus
• Exceptionally strong writing skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with Excel.
• Bachelor’s Degree with strong academic performance.  CFA or MBA is desirable.
• Ability to work independently in a small group environment.

This is a full-time position for our Coral Gables, Florida office, though we may consider Chicago as well.  Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
