Who we're looking for

We are looking for an Product Executive to join the Fixed Income division. This position sits within Investment and is responsible for managing the fixed income portfolio of business, allowing fund managers to focus on investing.

The base

We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We're close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.

The team

The Fixed Income division continues to experience significant growth and is a key element of Schroders' product offering. The function acts as a conduit between the investment team and distribution, supporting growth and ongoing profitability.

The team is involved in a range of high volume activities that include servicing existing clients, preparation for new business pitches, developing new products and being consultative subject matter experts for other parts of the company.

What you'll need to do

• Provide ongoing support to Investment Directors across the London-managed fixed income range
• Prepare client reporting packages on monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, including detailed portfolio commentary and performance review
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations for client pitches, portfolio review meetings and conferences
• Respond to ad hoc queries from internal counterparties
• Review and contribute to requests for proposal (RFP); maintain library of RFP responses on an ongoing basis
• Maintain department statistics, including product AUMs and team changes
• Respond to ad hoc queries from internal counterparties
• Liaise with overseas Product Management and Distribution functions

The knowledge, skills and qualifications you need

• Previous experience in the financial services industry (not limited to asset management).
• Knowledge of fixed income instruments and markets is essential. The candidate should demonstrate a clear understanding of investment strategies implemented via physical bonds and derivatives.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

• A strong academic background. Progress towards completion of CFA examinations would be viewed favourably
• Experience in portfolio accounting and performance analysis would also be valuable.
• Seasoned user of Microsoft Office packages, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Knowledge of other systems an advantage, such as Bloomberg, eVestment and Morningstar
