Position Description:

We are looking to add to our ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Technology team and hire a Senior Business Analyst in our London office. In this role you will collaborate closely with key ESG business partners (ESG Research, Portfolio Management, Traders, Client Facing and Product Strategy) and work with analytics & other technology to build ESG Solutions to integrate ESG factors into our investment processes.

Our team provides user support across EMEA, APAC and the US working with global technology teams across offices. As an integral part of the technology team you will bring domain expertise to help evolve our ESG platform, develop new tech platforms and solve problems in real time!

Responsibilities

  • 1st level support on business queries - initial analysis and diagnosis of issues
  • Work with business users to streamline ESG integration, capture new business requirements and identify areas of efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate closely with internal development teams and vendors to convert improvement requests into technical specs, integrations and deliveries
  • Perform testing including; functional, regression, user acceptance, integration and performance to verify that the client’s needs are met. Perform post-production release validation testing on any new improvements or bug fixes
  • Resolve tactical emergencies employing your Excel and SQL skills, produce accurate and meaningful data to Regulatory Ops team under time pressure, when needed
  • Conduct demos, training and maintaining of technical and business knowledgebase
  • Prepare, engage and distribute weekly, monthly and quarterly updates to business and tech management
  • Presentation of results to business / functional leads


Position Requirements:

Essential Education and Experience

  • 5 years’ experience in financial technology project management or business analysis, leading technology related efforts is essential for this role
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business / Finance or technical fields
  • Extensive knowledge of ESG domain and experience of ESG Factors, Data and Vendors
  • Understanding of Financial products and trading processes is crucial
  • Previous experience working in an agile environment


Technologies Required

  • SQL and database (Oracle)
  • Excellent Excel
  • Scripting (Python) or programming experience is a plus
  • Any BI reporting experience would be plus
