We are looking for a Junior Research Analyst to join our Global Equity team in Hong Kong. Templeton Global Equity Group is part of Franklin Templeton, and a leading global investment organization with a rigorous valuation methodology and a singular culture, philosophy and process. The group offers Global Equity, International Equity, Regional Equity, Small Cap, and Balanced Strategies.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?
  • Identify investment opportunities using fundamental and valuation screens.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities through extensive financial analysis and modelling.
  • Conduct fundamental and financial analysis on companies, industries, and sectors to understand drivers of growth, profitability and company advantage.
  • Extensive valuation analysis, including project NPVs and business enterprise valuation.
  • Structure written communications for team members and investment committee reviews


What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
  • Bachelor's degree and above
  • CFA or working towards CFA
  • Minimum 3 years of company and sector research and analysis experience
  • Understanding of value-based principles and how and why companies create value
  • Great work ethic, desire to learn, extreme interest in the equity investing
  • Strong numeric, financial modeling, analytical skills
  • Public equity research experience is not a requirement; experience in other sectors such as accounting, private equity, consulting or investment banking welcome
  • Team player
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Factset or other commercial research database a plus
