Role Objective

iCapital’s rapid international expansion creates an opportunity for a seasoned professional to join a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment. The Private Equity Fund Specialist role will work to ensure that the valuation of private equity fund of funds are completed on time and accurately through the review and supervision of fund administrators as well as ensures effective record-keeping and safeguarding of fund assets including the calculation, execution and collection reconciliation of capital events such as capital calls and distributions.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement and maintain processes and procedures for servicing private equity feeder and multi-manager funds
• Work in close partnership with product and technology teams to enhance and automate key operational processes, and to develop and enhance product, management, and other reporting, targeting both efficiency and scale
• Participate in new fund structuring, set up and onboarding new products with administrators and custodians
• Provide oversight of fund administrators and other service providers
• Manage all fund accounting and financial reporting to investors
• Follow and adhere to procedures for all subscriptions, redemptions, capital calls, and distributions
• Oversee quarterly and annual reporting to investors, their advisors and custodians through iCapital’s proprietary reporting platform
• Monitor fund cash positions and reconciliations, manage cash reserves and expense allocation process, approve expenses

Candidate Profile

• Excellent written and verbal English skills
• 4+ years of Accounting and Operations experience, with a focus on Private Equity Fund Administration. Feeder and multimanager fund experience is highly desired.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other business-related field; Chartered Accountant, CPA or other Accounting designation is a plus
• Knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office Suite
• Passion for the application of innovative technology
• Understanding of financial product management processes is a plus
•  Proven ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a collaborative team player in a fast-paced, demanding environment with a global management structure
• Willingness to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment
• High levels of attention to detail and accuracy with organizational skills as a strength with proficiency in reconciliation large volumes of data
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
