Quantitative Business Analyst

Summary:

Natixis Investment Managers is looking for a Quantitative Business Analyst / Developer to work within the Natixis Investment Manager Solutions Team; specifically the Application Development, Quantitative Software Development, and the Portfolio Management teams. This position requires the individual’s time to be partitioned across the teams to assist directly with; software development and coding, contributing to the build out of the firm’s technology stack, formulating quantitative business requirements, and statistical project participation. This individual would receive equal exposure to both the business-side and technology-side, thereby achieving critical alignment across the teams.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with developer teams to code, develop, architect, and test for implementation of all requirements.
• Develop mathematical models and run unit testing / regression testing.
• Participate in component development, design, and testing.
• Implement enterprise-level solutions and web-based applications.
• Lead, partner, and support intra/inter-department technology projects.
• Understand business initiatives and translate into project plans, requirements, functional and technical specifications, implementation, and support plans.
• Develop comprehensive understanding of the technology infrastructure including applications, data, and all associated process management functions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in of the following fields: Computer Science, Math, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering.
• Preferred experience in financial services, technology, consulting, data science, or engineering industries.
• Demonstrated understanding of Probability Theory, Statistics, Linear Algebra, and Calculus.
• Developer-level knowledge required (coding/troubleshooting) of JAVA, Spring, Snowflake, and Python programming languages.
• Knowledge of MATLAB and experience with MySQL and relational databases.
• Knowledge of CRM system reporting (i.e. Salesforce), preferred.
• Experience with data visualization dashboard builds (i.e. Tableau).
• Experience working with project management tools.
• Familiar with the full cycle development.
• Exposure to modern Data Science methods is desired, but not required.
