Key Responsibilities
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
- Contribute to the continuous review and strategic development of the Allianz Infrastructure and Renewables Equity Investment Strategy with a focus on Greenfield projects and innovative opportunities, especially as part of the Energy Transition
- Support the sourcing of Investment opportunities (indirect and direct) in the market to enable Allianz to reach its Net Zero Carbon commitments and overarching ESG targets, most notably to help driving the energy transition as a leading investor
- In depth analysis, Due Diligence and execution of investment proposals for fund investments as well as direct equity investments
- Preparing analysis and recommendations for the top management and the Allianz Group Alternative Investment Committee on all matters related to the Infrastructure & Renewables asset class
- Support Top Management and related Allianz functions especially in the Energy transition area Monitoring, analyzing and steering the global portfolio within the infrastructure and renewables asset classes
- Supporting investors and other stakeholders with regard to portfolio management, steering, planning and strategy implementation.
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
- Strong academic background (university degree in business administration or economics) with focus on finance / investments / valuation
- Deep interest in and affinity for investments, esp. for alternative investments
- At least 4-6 years of relevant experience in M&A, investment management or asset management, ideally in the alternatives equity space (Infrastructure, Private Equity, Venture Capital)
- Experience in innovative business models and technologies as well as valuation of business models that are in an early stage of their lifecycle
- Experience in carrying out due diligence on PE/VC funds as well as direct investments and including extensive project management experience and negotiation skills
- Excellent analytical and implementation skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong team player
- Excellent communication, facilitation, project management and conflict management skills to manage diverse stakeholders and providers CFA charter or equivalent qualification would be an asset
- Written and oral fluency in in English ; other languages, in particular German and/or French would be an asset
