Associate Equity/Fixed Income Analyst

Lark Research, an independent investment research firm, has an opening for a part-time associate analyst.  The ideal candidate will have experience or completed coursework in accounting, experience in financial modeling, good written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated interest in pursuing investment research as a career.  The position requires advanced skills in Excel and demonstrated proficiency in Word.  Experience with PowerPoint, Access and WordPress are a plus.  Besides building and updating financial models, the responsibilities of the position will include summarizing research reports for blog posts, publication on other investment platforms and email communications.  The associate analyst will also assist in the marketing of our investment research services to institutional investors through all forms of communication and participate in updating and maintaining our customer relationship management database.  The position initially offers 20-30 hours of work per week at a rate of $15 per hour.  Hours and wages will increase over time as the analyst demonstrates proficiency in the assigned tasks.  While some of the work may be performed remotely, the analyst will be required to work at least two days per week at our office in Linden, New Jersey, which is conveniently located about a block from the Linden NJ Transit station on the Northeast corridor, about 40 minutes from Penn Station, NY.
