Position Description
The Equity Analyst position would primarily be responsible for analyzing companies at the request of NEAM’s Equity Portfolio Manager and/or the firm’s CIO. It is envisioned that this position would ultimately evolve into a Junior Portfolio Management role, which would involve presenting investment ideas as well as results to both internal constituencies and to clients.
Qualifications, Education, Experience
We are currently seeking an individual with experience in financial analysis, focusing on companies in a wide array of industries. The individual must have excellent analytic skills and may be required to perform an analysis of a company we select in order to demonstrate those skills. The ideal individual would have a strong knowledge of Excel and other MS Office software, working knowledge of Bloomberg’s “PORT” portfolio management system, familiarity with the Charles River Trading and Compliance system, and excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
In addition to the skills noted above, job requirements include:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and 1-3 years of experience in the field
- MBA/CFA preferred, but not required
