Better data. Better solutions. Better outcomes. We are seeking a Senior Research Analyst to join our Proprietary Research team, part of our Investment & Advisory Insights team. This role will be responsible for developing thought provoking and engaging examples and research notes, applying differentiating earnings, fundamentals and macroeconomic data, and highlighting StarMine analytics, models, research, and Eikon product features.

This position is both an internally and externally focused role that will require the delivery of these examples through all media forms, including traditional print, blogs, video and social media. The content will be delivered on our product platforms and will also be a part of our coordinated Media and PR attribution program. Content and presentations are also produced to support sales and marketing initiatives. The analyst will become a key contributor as part of a small team that demonstrates the value of our financial data, content, analytics and products by applying them to security-level and macro research.

Responsibilities:

  • Update and publish recurring earnings-related reports and function as a back-up to others on the team
  • Work with both quantitative and fundamental buy-side clients, which will require an in-depth knowledge of our quant models, along with knowledge on how best to utilize these signals to improve the client’s research and investment process
  • Participate in research studies and analysis, producing and publishing both recurring and ad-hoc research

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in economics or finance or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred
  • CFA Charterholder or substantial progress toward that designation is preferred
  • Prior work experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience with financial statement analysis, accounting, and financial data
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to deliver financial information and analysis to both internal and external audiences

Highly Desired Skills:

  • Experience with large databases using SQL and the Python programming language
  • Experience with financial desktop solutions, such as Eikon and Datastream
  • Experience with estimates and fundamentals data
  • An understanding of the StarMine quantitative models and analytics
  • Experience in a client-facing role
