Position Description:

PIMCO has recently built a Global People Services (GPS) team to deliver a premium HR experience to PIMCO employees through all career stages via online portal, expert guidance, and exceptional HR support. As the primary point of contact for employees globally, GPS will deliver on two main focus areas: Talent Engagement & Delivery, executing programs on behalf of and in partnership with Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, HR Business Partners, and Employee Relations; and HR Operations, encompassing knowledge management, process optimization, and our AskHR team, which manages inquiries from employees and alumni globally. We are seeking a highly capable individual to join the GPS team and working across the GPS pillars and global HR functional teams.

What’s the Role?

This role is a unique opportunity to join a team that has recently undergone a global build-out and implementations of Workday and ServiceNow as well as a transition of a new target operating model. This role will work across GPS and HR functional teams, partnering closely with the HR Business Partner team and HR Operations to support our continued evolution and process improvement mindset. The Senior Associate will identify process improvement opportunities globally, working with HR Technology, Knowledge Management, and functional experts to oversee the process of defining desktop procedures, Technology configuration and usage, and overall workflow documentation. The Senior Associate will also manage new responsibilities as the GPS team continues to expand its remit. This includes full cycle Workday support for Allianz Asset Management (AAM), management of the global Client Information Requests and annual survey processes, and other key projects and initiatives.

PIMCO’s HR Business Partners consult with business leaders to design and implement people strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent and foster inclusive and diverse teams. As trusted advisors to the business, they provide guidance to people leaders, leveraging deep knowledge of the business to evaluate what is needed to support business objectives and accelerate employee success and career growth. HR Business Partners collaborate with the broader HR team on initiatives related to talent management, organizational design, compensation and workforce planning.

HR Operations acts as the innovation engine within our HR organization. Leveraging technology, process enhancements and automation, embedding efficiency across all HR functions with a lens on governance and global consistency are key drivers that assist HR in meeting their strategic business objectives. A key business priority is the further integration of inclusion and diversity principles within our core HR processes & practices. The GPS AAM HRBP/Operations Associate will provide program management and day to day support related to these efforts.

•Understand and execute on PIMCO’s end-to-end HR business processes across the employee lifecycle
•Work collaboratively to improve efficiency and consistently execute all HR business processes
•Provide support for AAM HR in Workday including but not limited to
o Onboarding, lifecycle management and offboarding
o Day to day support â€" Processing transactions and maintaining data quality
o Business specific data & reporting requests including alignment with other HR functions
o Liaison for AAM Business Partners located in the US & Germany
•Process Improvement and Project Manager with a lens on:
o Workday process optimization â€" maximizing technology including but not limited to process build out, automation and organizational alignment
  • Onboarding
  • Offboarding and terminations
  • Transfers
  • Documentation for HR systems and process enhancements
  • Focus on data and system analysis to identify trends and drive new ideas

o IDC integration specialist â€" management, optimization and evolution of the RFP process, working closely with IDC strategy team and senior stakeholders globally
o Employee Relations projects â€" support our Employee Relations team on special projects such as legislative or regulatory change projects, education, policy related items

Position Requirements:


•Affinity for technology, thinking with a “tech mindset,” and knowledge of new HR technologies such as ServiceNow & Workday and experience in technology process improvement
•Cross functional HR experience within Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, HR Business Partner functions
•Ability to drive change, managing across multiple stakeholders and functional teams involved in processes
•Excellent critical evaluation skills - ability to apply sound judgement and identify the root causes of problems through an expanded, holistic view vs. looking at smaller, discrete parts or at symptoms in isolation
•Strong collaboration skills, effective at gathering and synthesizing information from multiple parties
•Ability to multi-task across multiple priorities, focus on ownership and results orientation while meeting rigorous deadlines
•Thrives while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency for all requests
•Proven ability to provide excellent customer service with strong attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness
•High level of integrity; ability to handle confidential information ethically, professionally and appropriately
•Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
•Highly professional manner, with the ability to interact with employees of all levels of experience and seniority, across the organization
•Ability to learn quickly; demonstrates aptitude for learning global practices and processes

Preferred Qualifications:

•2-4 years of related experience, preferably in an HR Business Partner support capacity and HR cross functional process/project management
•Bachelor's Degree
•Strong experience with Workday and ServiceNow
•Familiarity with HR processes and procedures and state and federal employment law
•Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
•Flexible to work overtime as required, in-line with business needs
