Equity Trader

Responsibilities:

Execute equity trades to implement global investment strategies
Interact with the Investment team on developing and improving trading strategies and provide feedback on changing market conditions
Work with middle office / back office groups on any processing or settlements issues
Contribute to analysis of trading costs with the Investment team and Risk departments
Maintain data sets for use in the investment process and help to build new data sets
Opportunity for expanded responsibilities on the trading and investment analysis aspects of the job
Opportunity for expansion by the firm into new asset class product areas that could produce additional responsibilities

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree with a focus in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related fields preferred
2-4 years of equity trading experience within the asset management / hedge fund industry
High levels of curiosity and interest in investment subjects
Solid quantitative skills
Proficiency with Excel/VBA and system applications strongly preferred
Experience with Trade Order Management systems such as Bloomberg AIM preferred
CFA charterholders or progress towards CFA designation a plus
Series 3 or willingness to take the Series 3 and SWAP proficiency exam, other registration exams as may be necessary
