Fathom Advisors, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC., is seeking a fulltime Investment Specialist to join our innovative and dynamic team. At Ameriprise Financial we help people feel confident about their financial future by providing comprehensive financial planning and investment consulting to families, individuals, and small organizations to help achieve financial goals and simplify their financial lives.

Job Purpose:

Serve as an Investment Specialist, providing an expert level of investment analysis and research for the practice. 

Responsibilities:

  • Gathers and analyzes company financial statements, industry, regulatory and economic information, and financial periodicals and newspapers
  • Execute trades
  • Model portfolio management including weekly rebalances and cash movements
  • Trade and monitor fixed income discretionary accounts
  • Creates charts and graphs to illustrate reports
  • Recommends portfolio rebalancing trades when appropriate
  • Ongoing review and implementation of investment related processes
  • Morningstar Investment Detail Report updates
  • 401k rebalances
  • Prepare and distribute internal investment reports
  • Assist with investment manager due diligence and monitoring
  • Participate in investment committee meetings and ensure proper compliance documentation


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 2+ years of similar work experience in a professional office environment, ideally in the financial services industry
  • Hold or be willing to study/obtain the Series 7 and Series 66
  • (Preferred) progress towards obtaining a CFA Charter
  • Experience trading stocks, bonds, and mutual funds
  • Experience analyzing various investment strategies
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Pleasant, professional and friendly manner with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong team player
  • Highly organized, accurate, and attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and independent problem-solving skills
  • Highly proficient with in Microsoft office including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities
  • Strong personal and business ethics and integrity


Salary and Benefits:

Compensation: $60,000-65,000 per year; depending on experience
