  • Assessing whether all significant risks are identified and appropriately reported by Management and the Risk function to the Board, Executive Management and the Audit and Risk Committees of Quilter;
  • Assessing whether risks are adequately controlled; and
  • Finding ways to improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management and the system of internal controls.

About the role

Key Responsibilities and Scope of role:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Quilter's business processes in scope for assigned audits;
  • Working on multiple audit assignments, delivering to deadlines and budgets and in accordance with IA methodology and agreed quality standards;
  • Execution of audits with involvement at all stages of the audit process including planning, fieldwork and reporting;
  • Engage with business unit process owners to understand processes and identify key risks;
  • Perform audit testing that is focused on key risks and makes use of techniques such as data analytics;
  • Demonstrate application of root cause analysis to drive value add audit findings which reflect the evolving risk and control environment;
  • Propose clear, practical and value add actions to address control weaknesses identified;
  • Manage and perform Issue Assurance activities on a quarterly basis;
  • Ensure key stakeholders are kept abreast of Internal Audit observations during the audit and contribute to developing Internal Audit's relationship with stakeholders beyond the audit;

While GIA leverage digital tools to communicate with colleagues across our various office locations, there may be a small and limited amount of flexible travel required, depending on the audit engagement.

About you

Qualifications required:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Relevant specialised qualification, for example ACA, ACCA, IMC, CFA or other Internal Audit or Risk Management certification.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Experience performing a risk and controls focused role e.g. Internal or External Audit, Risk or Compliance;
  • Understanding of risk and controls in the Financial Services environment; and
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services regulatory environment.
