About this role
We are building a Wealth Management Company (WMC) with the combined strength of BlackRock, China Construction Bank (CCB) and Temasek, contributing to establishing a sustainable retirement and long-term investment ecosystem in China. We are currently looking for a highly experienced professional to join us as the Head of Client and Products. The individual in this role will be responsible for developing and executing the sales and product strategy with a focus on promoting WMC product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and target existing and potential market segments and channels. Partner with the investment teams, CCB, and BlackRock teams to drive the product pipeline and product ideation;
  • Employ a wide variety of direct and indirect sales and business development strategies. Prioritize appropriately to focus efforts on strategic priorities for medium and long-term business growth. Deliver AUM and revenue targets for the business;
  • Engage and partner with different internal and external stakeholders in product implementation and execution, raise the profile and usage of WMC products within the targeted client base;
  • Work with internal and external teams to maximize success. Leverage existing resources to meet client needs and ensure those resources are brought to bear to maximize results in an efficient, resource-considered manner;
  • Provide and deliver presentations for workshops, seminars and individual client meetings as appropriate to represent WMC and build a broader understanding of our product offerings;
  • Monitor ongoing client experience. Anticipate client needs and respond to the current market environment and emerging industry trends;
  • Provide top market intelligence to help guide overall business strategy, lead product lifecycle management and drive sales;
  • Contributes to people and culture building, be a mentor and coach in the organization
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience; Experience with joint venture and alliance deals a plus;
  • Strong working knowledge of CCB, including but not limited to product, distribution channel, people, process, technology, and governance;
  • Proven track record in sales and client services, with a wide variety of direct and indirect sales and business development strategies;
  • Solid knowledge of financial market and investment products. Familiar with the latest trends and developments in the asset management industry, including regulation, competition, technology, etc. CFA/CAIA/FRM a plus;
  • Self-starter with a high degree of intellectual ability combined with a creative and enquiring mind and be able to solve complex problems with rigor and efficiency. Strong change management capability and able to communicate the impact with the target audience;
  • Understands organizational dynamics that get in the way of work and employee effectiveness, being a strong partner to business stakeholders and collaborate across the organization in delivering the firm's impact;
  • Strong fiduciary mindset and highly motivated to develop an industry leading practice, possess all local regulation required licenses and/or qualifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English, with a high standard of public speaking & presentation experience.
