ETF and Index Investing (EII)

BlackRock's ETF Index Investment team develops and manages investment solutions involving multiple strategies and asset classes. The global team includes more than 145 portfolio managers, quantitative analysts, investment strategists, research analysts. We partner with clients to solve their investment and liability challenges by understanding their objectives, advising on solutions, and designing and implementing strategies that meet or exceed goals.

Equity Product Strategy
The Equity Product Strategy (EPS) team is a group of technical index specialists whose aim is to help clients navigate the indexing landscape and drive the commercial agenda across our EMEA ETF and Index Mutual Fund product ranges. The team provides technical insight and analytics to clients while also driving client engagement through thought leadership, educational and tactical content. They cover the full equity range from broad equity beta exposures through to more targeted precision exposures including thematics, sectors, alternatives and commodities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver asset class specific strategic and tactical content to sales, clients and BLK partner groups across both ETFs and IMFs
• Focus on wrapper efficiency across IMF and ETFs to deliver the best One Beta investment solution for the clients investment objectives
• Field client requests, through the sales team, by responding to daily requests/queries under the supervision of the senior team members
• Create and deliver presentation material for client pitches
• Streamline processes and work flows within the team to maximize efficiency
• Leverage IT skills to automate relevant tasks
• Work in partnership with other Blackrock teams to provide analysis and technical assistance

Knowledge/Experience:

• Experience in Asset Management in general with a preference for ETF or Index Mutual Fund exposure or other relevant experience
• Experience servicing asset management and/or wealth client bases
• The ability to communicate effectively - either by simplifying complex concepts or going deeper when more technical explanations are required
• Flexible, responsive and self-starting personality with keen attention to detail
• Strong analytical attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must possess the desire and ability to work in a team-orientated environment
• Interest and understanding of the financial markets

Skills/Qualifications:

• Degree in quantitative subject preferred (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering etc)
• Knowledge of an additional European language is an advantage
• IMC/CFA or working towards
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
• Coding (eg Python, VBA) skills is a plus
