FRONT OFFICE SOLUTIONS PROFILE Northern Trust's Front Office Solutions is an integrated digital and service platform that enables investment offices to view data across their whole portfolio, with timely, accurate and consolidated views of both public and private market data. Designed for the modern asset owner with multi-asset class portfolios, Front Office Solutions serves foundations, endowments, pension funds, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, and other complex organizations. SUMMARY We are seeking a Solutions Consultant with experiences delivering in Portfolio and Fund Accounting, Analytics, and Reporting developments. A qualified candidate must have the ability to perform in a fast-paced and agile environment in supporting a proven desktop application and delivering a high touch digital application. Innovating, collaborating, and putting the client at the forefront is of utmost importance in this role. RESPONSIBILITIES Business Analyst * Work with clients and operations teams to translate and deliver business requirements, user stories, and functional requirements. * Understand the impact of development to the overall roadmap as well as current work in progress. Work with Product Managers to facilitate prioritization. * Capture feedback from development teams on challenges and effort. Consider all edge cases when designing requirements and testing. * Follow best practices for different types of implementation. * Ensure highest quality of deliverables. UAT * Execute UAT test cases including: a. Confirm that the feature performs as intended per business requirements. b. Confirm that the feature is consistent in behavior and look of existing features. c. Extraction of data from vended applications to aid in validating of data used. d. Certify that the feature is ready to move into production. Project Manager * Oversee internal and client-side efforts to meet project timelines and overcome project hurdles. * Assist in agile activities - refining, planning, and demo. * Proactively monitor and report to stakeholders on progress and prioritization of efforts. * Communicate new features and functionality with the servicing team through user documentation and training. KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE * Strong understanding of institutional investment industry. * Knowledge of performance measurement concepts and standards including GIPS, ILPA, etc. * Understanding of benchmarks and data management nuances across multiple asset classes. * Knowledge of alternative assets (private equity, hedge funds, real estate, derivatives) and the metrics typically associated with them. * Prior experience with multi-asset class portfolio management software. QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated related professional experience. * Ability to prioritize, multi task, and handle time sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make effective decisions under pressure. * Proactively take on projects with minimal supervision and high aptitude and willingness to learn. * Product and technical expertise, with a solid understanding of software development principles and Agile development methodologies. * Excellent verbal and written skills. HIGHLY DESIRED * Completion (or progress towards) of advanced credentials (CFA, CAIA, CIMA, CIPM). Additional Information
