Position Requirements/ Preferred Skills

  • Strong processing skills and the ability to deliver high quality service to a small group of high profile clients

  • Ownership of client needs regarding service, investment, portfolio and problem resolution issues, with clear responsibility to escalate issues as appropriate within the team
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and business partners
  • Partner with Senior RMs to build the business and provide service and support functions such as portfolio analysis, and client/prospect meeting preparation
  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency with word processing, presentations and spreadsheets as well as the ability to learn and use custom applications and systems

 

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • To assist Senior RM in managing client relationships. This includes dealing with the client and the family office staff of the clients, assisting and following up with the investment team with deliverables, execution of deployment plans, setting up meetings /call with clients, third party product manufacturers etc                                                                                       
  • Manage and meet client expectations and objectives as described in the engagement letter and scope of services
  • Liaise with various departments within Waterfield to share appropriate information with the client                                                                                                                                               
  • To identify / expand the scope of work of the relationship based on clients needs
  • Provide regular status reports on client deliverable
  • Synthesize results of analyses into customized, audience-appropriate reports and presentation materials
  • Coordinate with both internal departments and external partners to source investment and accounting data needed to build customized reports
  • To provide solutions to clients beyond investments and wealth management, in areas such as, Philanthropy, Succession Planning including Trust and estate planning, family constitution, mentoring the next generation, providing education roadmaps, designing and implementation of stand operation procedures at the client’s office, recruiting talent for the client family office, etc.
  • Maintain timely, accurate and complete client relationship management administration tasks as determined by the business. Ensure the execution of team processes, such as pre-call planning, post-call debriefs and relationship reviews
  • Monitoring of client’s deliverables as finalized in scope of services
  • Participates in special projects, and strategic department initiatives, and other duties as assigned
  • Setting up meetings as and when required for the senior RMs and MD & CEO

Distribution of Work:

  • Responding to queries raised by Family office staff - 30%                                                                                                
  • Following up with service managers on portfolio uploads, monthly statements, missing information -20%                        
  • Drawing of execution plans for investment portfolios and following up with service managers or execution and paperwork signing - 30%                                                                                                                                                  
  • Following up with investment team, assisting them with deliverables wherever required -20%

Role Attributes:

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Does not have the authority to undertake or recommend the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action and performance reviews.
  • Communication: Regularly uses moderately complex verbal and written skills. May make presentations to department or middle management
  • Knowledge: In depth knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures with ability to use in varied situations

  • Independence of Action: Work progress is monitored by supervisor/manager. Follows precedents and procedures. May set priorities and organise work within general guidelines established by supervisor/manager who is available to resolve problems
