Associate Research Analyst

Notably, all aspects of the wealth management process are researched and completed internally, including the development of customized investment strategies, security selection and portfolio construction.


As an Associate Research Analyst you will work with our senior equity portfolio managers to source new ideas, conduct fundamental analysis and assist in both the development and delivery of recommendations. In addition, you will help to monitor existing equity positions and assess their outlook. Support will be provided to both the U.S. Growth and U.S. Value equity teams, thus allowing you to utilize a broad skill set.

You will also support the firm’s overall research effort. Accordingly, you will develop research materials, conduct attribution analysis, assimilate economic data and prepare reports used in our research process. This will include a wide variety of data and encompasses strategic positioning, asset allocation and macroeconomic research.

You will conduct analysis and express points of view in both written and verbal formats. In addition, you will assist your peers in the development of brief topical pieces that will be distributed in a white paper format. An ability to develop constructive written and verbal arguments will be an important aspect of the responsibilities of this position.

Success Factors

A minimum of two years of professional business experience in research, investment management or a related finance field is preferred.

A bachelor’s degree is required.

An interest in, and willingness to pursue, the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is desired.

A strong analytical skill set along with knowledge of accounting and finance principles is required.

Experience with Microsoft Office software including a strong proficiency in Excel is required. VBA skills are a plus.

Experience with services such as Bloomberg, Telemet and Eikon is desired.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

An ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously along with excellent time management skills is a must.
