ICBC manages a $20+ billion dollar portfolio and we are looking for a talented Senior Investment Specialist to work with our Investment Governance, Strategy and Operations team. The successful candidate will conduct research and analysis to identify risks and opportunities and generate critical information in support of investment strategies, planning and decisions.

As a Senior Investment Analyst, you will:
• Assist with financial market monitoring needed to inform engagements with external manager and key stakeholders
• Participate in investment portfolio risk monitoring, performance attribution, peer comparison
• Participate in the development of investment risk policy, including development of investment policy, risk tolerance framework, benchmarks and risk models
• Develop and maintain risk monitoring system, including the collection of related data
• Assist with the preparation of regulatory filings, financial forecasts, investment management agreements and policies
• Participate in the planning, development and execution of investment strategies to maximize investment return on corporate and pension assets
• Be the principal point of contact for our external investment manager
• Conduct research, prepare analysis and evaluations for various management levels, providing explanations, rationale, and recommendations
• Research best practice and recommend appropriate application in the development of procedures, policies and standards for the department
• Participate in ad hoc projects and analysis as assigned

Position Requirements
Successful candidates will bring:

• Senior level experience in investment analysis and large scale portfolio management
• Strong quantitative/modeling skills; high proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of investment acts and regulations governing financial markets
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to achieve in a team environment
• Highly organized, with outstanding written and verbal communications skills
• CFA designation (or actively working in pursuit)
• An undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (an MBA or Masters in Finance would be an asset)
