Working in an established team, he or she will target and assess real estate fund managers; analyze investment strategies, financial statements, and investment returns; conduct reference calls and interviews.
In addition, the Analyst /Associate will assist in sourcing, diligence, and execution of co-investment and secondary transactions. This will include modeling projected performance and assessing the risks and merits of an investment opportunity.
He/she will enjoy daily exposure at all levels of the firm and will have the opportunity to present recommendations to the firm's Investment Committee.
The role will provide unrivaled opportunities to interact with the top fund managers in real estate private equity, across a broad array of real estate sectors.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and at least three years' experience in real estate-focused private equity, equity research, investment banking, consulting or asset management.
Essential Job Functions:
• Perform market research to identify, quantify and analyze macroeconomic trends across commercial real estate sectors
• Interpret financial analyses prepared by target fund managers
• Support sourcing and managing the inflow of investment opportunities
• Assess marketing materials of prospective fund managers
• Conduct phone interviews with senior executives to gather information on the style and effectiveness of target fund managers
• Form an independent opinion about the attractiveness of a sector or investment opportunity
• Construct an argument around an opinion and efficiently communicate that argument in Investment Committee meetings
• Analyze and monitor performance of the Firm's existing fund managers and underlying property assets
• Perform financial modeling and sensitivity analysis related to co-investment and secondary opportunities
• Draft investment memoranda and presentations.
Requirements
• BA/BSc in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting
• Three years + real estate focused experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, asset management, or equity research
• Track record of academic and professional success
• Excellent spoken /written English and strong interpersonal communications
• Demonstrable analytical capabilities, including strong quantitative/modeling skills
• High proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Fluency in a second European language
• Developing investment judgment and general understanding of risk/reward trade-offs
• Flexibility to perform multiple functions as the firm continues to grow and develop
• Able to live and work in the UK without sponsorship

• Applied experience in valuation and investment analysis
• Enrollment in CFA program is a plus
• High ethical standards
• Maturity, reliability, and attention to detail.
