Position Description:

At PIMCO, we focus on developing robust talent development practices that align with the professional development needs of our employees and business strategies. We place an emphasis on attracting and retaining exceptional talent and identifying and developing future leaders to ensure we have a leading and driven footprint in the global marketplace. In this newly-created role, the Vice President of Learning & Program Development will be an advisor to Human Resources, Inclusion, Diversity and Culture (IDC), and business lines (such as Portfolio Management, Account Management, Product Management, Technology) in helping to conceptualize, develop, and implement a holistic blended learning strategy for our firm wide business curriculum and technical skills development programs. This includes needs assessment, training strategy and curriculum development, identifying effective delivery methods, sourcing and managing external consultants, driving adoption across the firm, leading all aspects of our Learning Management System (LMS), facilitation of training sessions, and assessment and measurement of results.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Leadership & Organizational Development team and the Global People Services Team to ensure the delivery and exceptional execution of a fully integrated talent development strategy that facilitates the opportunity for our employees to lead optimally and potentially work at levels with growing responsibility

Responsibilities
  • Assess the current learning framework against current and future business needs and employees' learning goals, make recommendations for improvement, and develop and deliver on a learning strategy unique to PIMCO
  • Create scalable learning solutions across the organization that are flexible enough to deliver highly tailored solutions
  • Fully integrate the learning framework into PIMCO's LMS to deliver a data-driven and best-in-class platform
  • Collaborate across HR teams and the business on the design and delivery of core and customized development programs (i.e., ILT / online/experiential learning, new-hire onboarding, mentoring, rotations, speakers, coaching, supporting tools/resources, MDS, etc.)
  • Own the operational aspects of the learning portfolio, including: vendor sourcing and management, budgets, project management, communication, and branding and marketing
  • Establish frameworks for performance goals that tie directly to employee goals by creating opportunities for individuals as they grow and mature. Implement initiatives that keep employees challenged and stimulated
  • Nurture an environment conducive to ongoing learning and professional development to strengthen the engagement of hardworking employee
  • Develop a global mentoring program that creates opportunities for employees to develop their skills, form positive, social relationships, and to help gain familiarity with company policies and procedures
  • Train, coach and mentor managers, teams, and employees and create impactful programs that champions career development
  • Drive the continued analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of the learning strategy, and partner with the Leadership and Organizational Development team to develop performance indicators to assess effectiveness


Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field. Additionally, a post-secondary degree (e.g., Master's or M.B.A.) in Master's Degree in a relevant field of study such as adult education or instructional design preferred
  • Demonstrable track record of success at top professional services organizations
  • Proven experience designing and deploying a range of talent programs, including content development, facilitation, and learning management systems
