Position Description

The Senior Vice President – Global Distribution Relationships will be an integral member of the AACP Marketing team reporting to the Global Head of Institutional Relationships and will be responsible for establishing relationships with and raising assets from global institutional investors including public pensions, corporate pensions, endowments & foundations and Taft-Hartley plans, as well as high net worth investors.  Certain key initiatives and responsibilities include:

  • Raising assets for funds and investment vehicles of AACP’s Staking Affiliates; investors may invest directly with the Affiliate manager or through an AACP feeder/access fund
  • Raising assets for funds and investment vehicles of AACP Emerging Manager Fund’s (EMF’s) Seeding Affiliates
  • Raising assets for investment vehicles directly managed by AACP Investments, LLC (AACP’s registered investment advisor affiliate), such as the Emerging Manager Fund Series
  • Assisting the AACP Investment Team with due diligence on specific Affiliate managers and providing market color on investment strategies and sectors
  • Ensuring that marketing materials for internal and external purposes, including AACP’s pitchbooks and fundraising presentations and other collateral materials, are effective and up-to-date
  • Recording all activities in AACP’s CRM system
  • Assisting the Global Azimut salesforce distribute AACP and AACP’s Affiliate managers funds and investment vehicles by establishing and maintaining relationships with the Azimut high net worth and institutional distribution teams around the world
  • In a post-covid environment, traveling to conferences, investment managers and clients
  • Contributing to the Azimut Global Distribution guide for AACP internal use 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant industry experience in sales at an institutional asset management or private equity firm or other relevant asset management experience (i.e. placement agency).  The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to understand a variety of complex investment products coupled with the ability to sell institutional investment products, from forging a relationship with new prospects to asking for the order and closing the sale.  He/she will have an exceptional work ethic and a background reflecting a high level of academic and professional achievement.  It is important that the successful candidate demonstrates a curiosity about private market products, an ability to use his/her product knowledge and creativity to suggest new products that meet the needs of the firm’s clients, an ability to multi-task and an outgoing personality in addition to being driven, persistent and a team player.   CFA charterholder a plus, but not required.

COVID-19 Approach

AACP will not require its employees to be physically present in the office until the team has been vaccinated; and even then, individual concerns will be taken into consideration.  As of early 2021, the majority of the team works remotely full-time.
