General Consulting Transfer Coordinator

The General Consulting Transfer Coordinator is a highly visible role and will be responsible for all aspects of portfolio trading for discretionary and non-discretionary clients. These activities include trade execution, trade settlement, and reconciliation on behalf of a client or facilitating the process with ultimate direction from the Client. This position may process trading for a variety of vehicle types including separate accounts, commingled funds, mutual funds, and limited partnerships.

The General Consulting Transfer Coordinator is tasked with the successful tracking of all investment activity including rebalancing, fund raising, redemptions, benefit payments, etc. in addition to documentation for investment vehicles of Meketa Investment Group. The General Consulting Transfer Coordinator is encouraged to work in concert with Consultants, Investment Analysts, Investment Associates, and Operations Analysts and Assistants to log the completion of cash flow transfers from initial documentation or investment decision through email confirmation with custodian banks. Transfer activity includes: data collection and monitoring, cash flow issue resolution, creation of letters of direction, and reporting on internal cash flow statistics.

Success in this position will be measured by the employee’s knowledge base of several custodian bank relationships and web interfaces, investment knowledge of products within all General Consulting portfolios as well as asset allocation, their relationship with internal client teams and Consultants, and 100% accuracy of cash flow management with documentation. The Transfer Coordinator will need to use their own analysis and judgment where applicable and communicate best practices and change to industry standards across the firm.

The General Consulting Transfer Coordinator will interact with client teams to answer questions, trouble shoot, and provide guidance related to cash flow management, industry standard methodologies, and could be client facing when called upon or with potential new client meetings. The employee will coordinate and manage routing correspondence among all internal and external key players.


  • Bachelor’s Degree with evidence of strong academic achievement.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of Operations and process driven tasks
  • Ability to gather, coordinate, and analyze data from disparate sources.
  • Superb computer skills, including facility with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skill at analyzing, evaluating, and reviewing quantitative information
  • Excellent attention to detail and organized work habits.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under time pressure.
  • Ability to work well with internal employees and external contacts.
  • Ability to work independently and to proactively seek new responsibilities.


  • Independently organize transfer process, from start to finish, including: logging, entering, and confirming cash flows both internally and with custodian banks.
  • Provide information surrounding cash flows on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Coordinate trading activity based on investment decisions made by the GC Investment Consultants or client direction.
  • Understand and maintain all trading terms for investment managers and custodians, including notification periods, liquidity restrictions, share class information, and settlement timing, etc.
  • Communicate with investment managers, custodians, and fund administrators throughout the trading or funding process.
  • Work with internal departments to ensure proper communication regarding trade implementation.
