We are currently looking for a highly innovative, creative and forward-thinking Senior Finance Analyst to join our ever-growing Operations Finance team at our European headquarters in the vibrant city of Luxembourg.
Position Description
The Finance Business Partner will work with business partners from supply chain, transportation and fulfilment centre to optimize the total fulfilment cost of every unit delivered by Amazon in the EU. They will work closely with the business teams to define insight through analysis and data, resulting in implementation of actions to improve processes, customer experience and lower costs for the benefit of our customers. The Senior Finance Analyst will be responsible for financial reporting, forecasting, controls and analysis of EU wide operational costs. They will work with cross-functional team and establish best-in-class processes, controls and reporting. Through insightful analysis they will have the opportunity to guide cost improvement initiatives and bring real change in the EU. The role is broad in scope and will require a team member who is motivated to make an impact. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a growing, flexible environment; will be a creative and analytical problem solver.
Role Responsibilities:
• Using data and applying analytical methods to evaluate and direct the appropriate use of the company resources delivering the most value per USD invested for our customers.
• Ensure that financial controls and processes are in place and respected through continuous audit, reporting and systems implementation.
• Guide continuous cost improvements, and track savings. Present, defend and gain support for these initiatives from senior management.
• Invent and simplify EU Operations metrics and key performance indicators.
• Enhance and scale existing tools, develop agile processes, design and implement new solutions.
• Integrate data improvements and increased visibility into financial reporting and planning processes.
• Develop reporting and analysis to bring improvement of controllership and predictability of behaviour, resulting in implementation of actions.
• Improve forecast accuracy.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • 8+ years' experience within a highly analytical role within a growing metrics driven environment.
• Proven ability to build and handle financial models.
• Ability to perform complex analysis and simplify its communication.
• Advanced computer literacy (MS Excel, SQL/other Database).
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, computer science, mathematics, statistics or related field.
• Fluent in English
• Solid analytical skills and detail-oriented, while also seeing and understanding the big picture.
• Solid written and oral communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • CIMA/CFA/MBA
• Experience in Retail/ Manufacturing/ Logistics finance
