Senior Sales Representative/Sales Representative

Federated Hermes is seeking a Senior Sales Representative to proactively solicit cash management business from Federated Hermes’ clearing firms/custodians, correspondent broker dealers, regional broker dealers, and financial advisors/registered investment advisors within the assigned territory.

  • Conduct systematic sales calls on clients and prospective clients to identify needs, explain Federated Hermes’ investment products, processes and staff, and close the sale of investment products
  • Develop marketing programs for existing clients to increase assets.
  • Coordinate internal support to further the sales process; i.e., Request for Proposals, final presentations, quarterly and annual client reviews, etc.
  • Create and execute a digital sales strategy to sell and promote Federated Hermes’ money market funds available via position trades at clearing firms.
  • Work closely with internal Federated Hermes’ departments (i.e., operations, legal, investment research, finance, product development) to assure proper client servicing.



  • Bachelor degree required; CFA, CFP, and/or Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 1-3 years of sales or sales support experience in the financial services industry required; 5 years of outside sales experience selling liquidity and short duration products preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of liquidity and short duration financial products required; knowledge of Federated Hermes’ and competitors’ financial products preferred
  • Knowledge of quantitative mutual fund investment techniques and terminology preferred
  • Must possess/obtain FINRA Series 7 and 66

  • Must possess/maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Will be required to sign an employment agreement
  • Territory: Multi-state
  • Must be open to irregular hours, heavy travel
  • Location: Field office, location to be determined; Pittsburgh, PA, Philadelphia, PA, New York, NY, Baltimore, MD, Northern Virginia or Minneapolis, MN preferred
