Position Description:

Anti-Financial Crime Focus

The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Global Anti-Financial Crime ("AFC") Compliance team in the execution of PIMCO's Anti-Financial Crime Compliance program, which extends to all areas of PIMCO's business, including PIMCOs Mutual and Private Funds Business, the Non-Standard Transaction investment management areas and PIMCOs institutional client business.

Assist the business in meeting regulatory and other standards

The role involves regular engagement with the firm's Senior Management as well as members of our client facing and Non-Standard Transaction business areas. This requires excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively in a busy and time sensitive environment.

In addition, the role will also involve the provision of compliance advice, conducting due diligence, and suspicious activity reporting investigations, as well as assisting with global projects and coordination relating to Anti-Financial Crime compliance.

Excel in strong performance in a flat, non-hierarchical business

This position will require the ability to work well in a team-based environment with a collegiate and collaborative approach to problem solving.

This includes execution of the Anti-Financial Crime program across functions including testing and monitoring activities to ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements in collaboration with other team members locally and globally.

Contribute to the success of a truly global team

The candidate will be expected to contribute to the global regulatory compliance team with a particular focus on Anti Financial Crime policies and procedures as well as to get involved in local, regional and global project work and working groups.

Position Requirements:

The candidate should have knowledge of, or a strong interest in, AML, economic sanctions, and anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, rules and regulations

Strong knowledge of, or desire to learn, regulatory requirements and expectations related to anti-money laundering, economic sanctions, and anti-bribery and anti-corruption is important for this job.

The work will be performed in a fast-paced environment where judgments relating to Anti-Financial Crime compliance matters need to be made soundly and swiftly.

Compliance experience in Anti Financial Crime Programs is key to success in this role

Experience in implementing a risk based, audit-ready Anti Financial Crime Compliance program is strongly preferred for this role.

Excellent organization and communication skills

A clear, detailed, logical approach with excellent record keeping and the ability to work with little supervision is essential.

Clear, concise communication skills and experience at presenting complex subject matter to business audiences is desirable.

The ideal candidate will also be able to juggle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately.

Highest professional standards and client service orientation essential for success in the role

The candidate must be a team player with ability to foster good working relations and support the team's professional standards and client service orientation.

Flexibility in approaching complex subject matter and understanding the business needs in the context of regulatory requirements is crucial.
