Your Role
The role of the Senior Associate is to provide direct support to Portfolio Manager along with broader support to Portfolio Management teams in their execution of separate account strategies and client service.

You will be responsible for:
• Assist in the development and execution of multiple separate account investment plans
• Participate in and help to monitor the ongoing execution of the property level business plans for the clients by working closely with Asset Management
• Facilitate reporting process for multiple clients to ensure accurate and timely reporting by all responsible parties, including Monthly and Quarterly reports
• Prepare capital calls, assist with client requests (qualitative and quantitative)
• Provide portfolio analytics related to new acquisitions, leasing, valuations, capital expenditures, financing strategies, and disposition timing
• Assist in the development of annual Strategic Investment Plans for clients by facilitating discussions/meetings with key personnel
• Forecast performance based on historical actuals and the current strategic plan utilizing valuation-based cash flows, demonstrate expectations and JV structure impacts.
• Prepare board presentations and Annual Reports, which effectively communicate such information as portfolio performance, acquisitions/dispositions activity or focus, Invesco organizational updates, etc.
• Maintain, or create as vital, portfolio level reports to manage or analyze portfolio performance, diversification, risk, etc
• Maintain solid understanding of client's goals, objectives, and investment guidelines to ensure compliance
• Review accounting-prepared waterfalls to ensure compliance with Partnership Documents
• Supervise and evaluate property level performance
• Ad hoc support for Clients, Portfolio Management, and Invesco
• Other duties as assigned - deal status reports, allocation tracking, etc.

The experience you bring:
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience preferred in one or more of the following disciplines: Accounting, Asset Management, Portfolio/Fund Management, Acquisitions, Real Estate Appraisal
• Good understanding of the operational and investment fundamentals of Institutional Real Estate
• Strong financial and analytical skills with an eye for details
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; solid business writing skills are critical
• Good work ethic, team player
• General business-school level of accounting understanding (balance sheet, income statement, variance analysis)
• Proactive; act with a sense of urgency with internal and client requests
• Excellent interpersonal skills in a collaborative environment
• Must be confident and comfortable expressing an opinion that may be different from others within Invesco
• Practical understanding of real estate investment concepts - appreciation of broader investment (stocks, bonds etc.) concepts a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with Yardi and Argus a plus. Ability to learn new software packages
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
• MBA or CFA not required but a plus
