Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Social Media Content Writer to join our Marketing team. In this role, you will create compelling copy and multimedia content that drives engagement and flexes our brand voice across PIMCO's Social Media channels. As part of our Content Marketing team, you will apply your multimedia skills and natural storytelling abilities to communicate our brand and products through engaging content, always demonstrating our core values of collaboration, openness, responsibility, and excellence. You will also work closely with marketing managers, digital teams, designers, and key stakeholders across our global organization.
In this role, your primary objectives are to create highly effective and compelling content that supports our broad range of strategies and services, engages our target audience, and advances the firm's commercial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit compelling content that drives engagement across our Social Media platforms
  • Create video scripts and related content to align with and improve our Social Media campaigns
  • Execute A/B tests to inform best practices and consulting analytics partners to explore and understand performance data
  • Collaborate effectively with marketing colleagues and key business partners
  • Adhere to established style guides and brand standards
  • Coordinate and prioritize projects, ensuring all are satisfied within a reasonable time frame
  • Participate in paid social efforts
  • Support known opportunities to improve global content distribution; identifying new opportunities and making recommendations


Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism, or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience crafting Social Media content for B2B and B2C; financial services industry experience desirable
  • A consistent record of producing content that increases engagement and drives leads
  • Strong understanding of brand-building strategy and tactics across leading social platforms (Twitter, LI, Instagram, etc.)
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tactics (SEO, email marketing, Social Media, personalization, etc.)
  • Experience developing video and multimedia assets desired
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • An affinity and appreciation for the potential power â€" and pitfalls â€" of social media marketing
  • Proven ability to stretch a brand tone to suit various channels and topics.
  • A solid foundation in typical office applications: MS Office, Slack, Box
