ROLE SUMMARY

The Head of the Reporting and Information Management function is primarily responsible for championing the strategy and overseeing daily operations of Reporting to NTAM Clients, Regulators and internal management stakeholders. This role in partnership with practices that include Product, Data Office, Investment Operations, Performance, Technology and COO Practice Excellence as well as internal clients will develop and execute the strategic roadmap to build a world-class Reporting organization. It will also involve identifying, solutioning, and championing digital and automation initiatives to transform operational effectiveness and responsiveness to achieve scale as well as build new capabilities such as business intelligence and predictive analytics.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead a team focused on Client, AUM and Regulatory Reporting and drive excellence across this practice. Responsibilities include:
  • Lead client, regulator, marketing and internal management AUM and flow reporting for all NTAM clients, accounts and funds such as client performance reporting, fund fact sheets, ADV reporting, market surveys. Remit covers both the development of standard reports and consultative partnership with the Business to develop custom client reports.
  • Develop and communicate the strategic roadmap for the Future of Reporting and Information management, in terms meaningful to both business and technology organizations, and collaborate with cross-organizational and external partners
  • Be a thought leader in identifying automation, machine learning, predictive analytics and other emerging technology to deliver both standard and customized reporting and insights efficiently, accurately and at scale.
  • Ensure governance and oversight of data processes used to create and review reports to ensure accuracy and turn times within established thresholds.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to assess current state and architect future-state operating models, processes, capabilities required to successfully support evolving business needs, and adopt digitization and automation solutions, to drive excellence and achieve scalability.
  • Work with global regulators, compliance, internal and external auditors in ensuring NTAM's book of business and affiliated practices are compliant with all global regulatory requirements.
  • Develop service levels with the business, establish a robust governance and control framework to ensure delivery of timely and accurate information, and monitor on-going effectiveness
  • Develop reporting data governance standards that are agreed and leveraged across teams to ensure data quality and monitor its compliance.
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen the first line of defense by instilling a culture of continuous improvement and robust policy and procedure documentation and process to reduce operational risk and drive operational excellence.
  • Oversee existing and emerging proprietary or vended applications to ensure best in class platforms are leveraged
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to measure effectiveness of Client, Regulatory and AUM reporting teams and ensure investments in people, systems and process enhancements deliver value
  • Hire, motivate and manage talent to retain, grow, and build bench strength and resiliency.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Detailed understanding of the investment management business, multiple asset classes, client and regulatory reporting, and investment/financial technology systems within a large scale Asset Management setting
  • Experience managing and developing teams of on-shore and offshore resources with excellent motivation and team building skills, including the ability to recruit, develop and retain staff
  • Strong consultative skills ranging from gathering market and competitor insights, problem solving, analytics, strategy development, influencing, facilitation and consensus building
  • Prior experience in integrating and influencing others across a network and unlocking new opportunities to drive excellence in reporting across various governance bodies and committees.
  • Dynamic relationship building and partnership skills; a strong collaborator with experience leading initiatives across multiple groups and stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management experience
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to develop materials and effectively present to and persuade executive audiences
  • Experience in driving digital and automation-driven transformation to drive efficiencies and scalability
  • Global outlook with sensitivity and awareness of social and cultural differences
  • Strong situational awareness and decision making capabilities


NECESSARY EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
  • Bachelor degree; Master in Business Administration and/or CFA strongly preferred.
  • At least fifteen years of work experience in the investment management industry, with a demonstrated track record of leading client, regulatory and management reporting function at a mid to large investment manager. Experience in building and/or leading advanced analytics team a plus.
  • Proficiency in Aladdin Blackrock, Eagle, SAS, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, R, CORIC, and other reporting and analytic tools and databases.
  • Experience in Agile methodology and development.
  • Track record of developing and driving transformation vision and agenda.
