OVERVIEW
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on a new business venture for a Disruptor Fintech having over a decade of experience, with a start-up mentality.
Their core business has been in connecting Investment funds and Institutional Investors with the Asset Managers and Wealth Managers diaspora, enabling clients to grow their business.
Having successfully launched a Management Consultancy arm to assist Fund Managers in making sound business decisions, they are recruiting a Management Consultant to join their dynamic team.
The successful candidate will be extremely passionate and motivated to play a pivotal role in the expansion of this business and have the opportunity to escalate their career progression very quickly.
THE ROLE
The role involves analysing large data sets to present quantitative and qualitative recommendations to the client. To engage with the entire aspect of the consultancy lifecycle, developing pitch books, client servicing, industry research and competitor analysis to develop customised recommendations for clients. You will write well-researched project reports based on projects completed.
Expected to work with the founder in every phase of the projects, from spanning and identifying new markets geographically, new product line development to drawdowns ensuring clients business success. Booking meetings, preparing presentations and proposals with existing and new clients, client servicing will be an integral part of the role.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Highly Analytical, quantitative skills and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience and working knowledge of Asset classes (alternate), Fund Management, Pension Funds and Buy side.
- Deep knowledge of Life cycle of Trade and Asset Management value chain.
- Knowledge of fund types (i.e. Hedge, OEIC, UCITS) and differences.
- Knowledge of the asset classes and products that funds typically invest in (Equities, FI, Derivatives, RE)
- Familiarity with MorningStar, Bloomberg and HFM
- Completed or be studying toward a financial qualification such as CFA / CAIA / CIMA / ACCA / MBA
- Target and Results-oriented with strong leadership skills and a desire for continued career progression.
- Highly organised and excellent time management skills able to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent people and communication skills, able to build good relationships with ALL stakeholders at various levels.
- Keen and inquisitive mind
- Entrepreneurial mind set, working well in a team or independently.
- Coding is an advantage
- Strategy development focused on planning and development roadmaps.
- Experience in a project leadership
- Sound experience in client management
- Background in physics / Quantitative will also be considered
