Marketing Associate
The ideal candidate possesses:
- Minimum two-four years of related experience working in investor relations, consultant relations or sales at an asset management firm
- Interest in financial/stock markets
- Ability to prioritize work, multi-task responsibilities and work independently
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong ability to meet deadlines
- Must be effective working in a team setting
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, the Internet and RFP writing
- High level of initiative
- Strong verbal and excellent written communication skills
- Client-focused individual accountable for own projects
- High proficiency in database and primary research
- Bachelor’s degree
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Main Responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with Investor Relations on all new business development marketing needs
- Interact regularly with Investment team, Portfolio team, Marketing, Operations and Compliance
- Co-ordinate marketing materials, research and competitive analysis to compile data and information needed for all client calls, meetings and final presentations
- Work with all departments to compile data and information to update standard quarterly pitchbooks for Compliance approval
- Maintain integrity of mail lists and contact information in Salesforce
- Track client reporting requirements
- Send out distributions, capital calls, quarterly reports and client reporting
- Handle all qualitative RFPs: Coordinate the gathering, analysis and writing of all marketing information required to complete the RFP in a timely manner
- Update the internal generic RFP quarterly
- Maintain the RFP questions database
- Update proprietary databases with product and project information
- Work with operations to ensure LPs are onboarded properly and complete each onboarding checklist
- Seek out, identify and accumulate important information on prospects, clients and peers
- Perform competitive analysis (profiles on peers: capabilities, people, clients, etc.) and implement a system to track the progress of marketing initiatives
- Special projects arising from new business development
- Adhere to strict deadlines in a high-energy environment
A successful candidate will have an innate curiosity and desire to learn, a facility for reading information and good statistical analysis skills, an understanding of financial terms and a keen interest in finance. Additionally, the ability to work well with others, excellent computer skills, the ability to grasp new software quickly, a facility with numbers and spreadsheets, initiative, resourcefulness and tact are required.
