JOB DESCRIPTION: Equity Research Analyst

JOB PURPOSE: To compile reports and present recommendations to the investment team and assist in the development of the marketing material.

KEY OUTPUTS

• Using company annual financial reports to build financial models that would assist in determining the value of the business and the competitive landscape of the Industry.
• Building and maintaining models
• Prepare reports and presentations
• Maintain centralized research database

SKILLS OUTPUT

• Advanced computer Literate – MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Good communication Skills (Verbal and written) at all levels
• Good interpersonal and leadership qualities
• Good presentation skills
• Strong analytical ability
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent planning skills and attention to detail
• Negotiation skills and ability to influence others
• Writing and reporting skills

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Consistent excellent academic achievement.
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for and deep interest in investments and managing money.
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification / Accounting and Finance degree (B.Bus.Sc / B.Comm)
• Minimum of 2-3 years working experience in asset management
• CA and CFA qualifications favourable
