MSIM strives to provide outstanding long-term investment performance, service and a comprehensive suite of investment management solutions to a diverse client base, which includes governments, institutions, corporations and individuals worldwide.
Department Profile
The Public Markets and Alterative Investment Partners Valuation Committees (the "Valuation Committees") are important governing entities within MSIM that are responsible for overseeing the valuation of equity, fixed income, and derivative securities as well as fund investments. The Committees carry out this function on behalf of MSIM as a registered investment advisor as well as on behalf of the Boards of Directors / Trustees of the Morgan Stanley Funds, which are responsible for ensuring the net asset value of each fund is fair to purchasing, redeeming, and existing shareholders. The Valuation Committees interact with portfolio managers from around MSIM, who provide expertise and insight into particular securities, funds and market conditions, but it is the Valuation Committee, acting independently that has the ultimate delegated authority and responsibility for assessing the fair valuation of securities.

Additionally, the candidate will be required to review valuations provided by third parties and Investment Teams.
