Overview
Junior professional providing research, analysis, modeling, and valuation support in respect of deal pitches, transaction structuring, and execution, across a number of product lines. Fresh graduate to circa 3 years relevant experience.
Objective
The Analyst will assist the team in sourcing, evaluating and executing transaction opportunities. Will draft memos, teasers, pitch books for the team, conduct industry or company specific research and perform in depth financial and valuation analysis. The Analyst will also assist in arranging meetings, conference calls and other client facing communication as well as subsequently providing summary feedback. Will liaise with other departments and 3rd party service providers when necessary and manage record keeping and filing of transaction documentation in an organised, efficient manner.
Key result areas and tasks
Assists with the principal investments / IB strategy recommendations and contribute to ongoing discussions by providing well-researched and articulated analysis
Provides research and analysis of potential IB/ principal investments’ activities in all designated sectors and geographies
Prepares memorandums and recommendations in order to submit to Steering committee.
Constructs detailed financial models to evaluate opportunities, analyse transactions, perform sensitivities, calculate performance ratios and value companies
Provides transactional support in completing transactions, i.e. modelling, documentation, valuation reports, call reports, memorandums etc
Assists in monitoring target companies budgets, financial and operational guidelines, capital expenditure programmes, taxation issues, litigation, restructurings, reorganisations, human resources and other areas
Prepares performance analysis of companies
Publishes periodic monitoring performance reports as necessary
Provides analysis for M&A and principal investment strategies based on market conditions
Ensures reporting consistency across all reporting requirements and that all transaction-related compliance matters are properly managed
Builds relationships with regular contacts, financial controllers, and key individuals of client companies or projects
Maintains relationships with third parties to help ensure effective transaction management
Deals with routine queries received from companies, business line heads, third parties, etc. and responds promptly and effectively to their requests and concerns
Completes all function-specific documentation accurately as per QFCRA and QInvest standards in order to protect both QInvest and the company
Actively participates in a continuous professional and personal development

Education Summary
A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related field
Advanced degree, CFA or other professional market experience is desired
Up to 3 years of Investment banking experience or in an analyst position
Excellent corporate finance and accounting background
