Job Description This is an exciting opportunity to join the EMEA AXIS team, providing technical advisory and sales support to achieve our ambitious growth plan for the AXIS TM actuarial modelling system in EMEA. This role involves understanding client needs in terms of modelling, valuation, asset allocation and capital modelling, and delivering detailed demonstrations and presentations of how Moody's solution addresses these needs. You will perform bespoke analysis to map clients' business needs/challenges with the suite of models available in AXIS while looking for options to integrate with other solutions proposed by Moody's.

As part of this role there will be possibilities to take on further responsibility with experience, as well as to contribute to the thought leadership and technical direction of the company.

Working within the EMEA AXIS team, you will proactively work with existing and prospective clients through the advisory, sales and onboarding process, providing technical assistance and guidance as required. This will involve:
  • Working with clients to understand their requirements and needs in detail to provide the required response / software configuration.
  • Undertaking bespoke analysis to better map prospective clients' business needs and challenges to the functionalities available in AXIS. Perform gap analysis and prepare specifications for new functionalities needed by customers
  • Delivering technical sales demonstrations and presentations
  • Close collaboration with product management and software development teams to deliver details on specifications while monitoring and communicating progress on advancements to clients.
  • Providing training and support to clients, partners and Moody's employees as required
  • Executing POCs and trials with prospective clients
  • Working with sales teams to complete technical parts of Responses for Information/Proposal (RFI/RFP).
  • Working closely with and supporting clients during post-sales onboarding period.
  • Contributing to thought leadership initiatives through regular presentations, white papers, presentations at conferences, input into internal discussions on trends in the life insurance market, impact of new regulations and new roles for Moody's.

Qualifications
  • A good first degree in a numerical discipline, for example: mathematics, physics, engineering, actuarial science or finance.
  • In addition, the candidate should have either:
    • Progress towards a relevant professional qualification such as Actuarial, CFA or similar
    • A post-graduate (MSc or PhD) qualification in a numerical discipline
  • A strong understanding of European life insurance, products, features and management strategies. Knowledge of Spanish market preferable.
  • Experience in actuarial modelling of life insurance products. Previous experience with AXIS will be preferable.
  • Understanding of ALM challenges and/or capital modeling challenges faced by the industry and the range of approaches being adopted to meet these challenges.
  • Understanding of the current regulatory environment as well as an appreciation for regulatory changes such as Solvency II or IFRS17, either directly from industry or from consultancy.
  • Strong communications skills in English. Spanish language skills advantageous.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders from different backgrounds and at all levels.
  • A track record in the delivery of small projects or well-defined parts of larger projects, either in consultancy or within an insurance company (e.g. managed part of financial reporting process).
  • Good knowledge of Excel/VBA.
  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Willing to travel to client or partner sites as required
