The Fixed Income Division (FID) is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products, Securitized Products, and Municipal Securities. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets.
Position Description
Morgan Stanley's Global Credit business offers a full suite of sales, trading and underwriting services for the Corporate Debt. We service our clients' needs across the credit quality spectrum from investment grade to distressed, through a multitude of products, including bonds, loans and credit default swaps, as well as macro credit products, including Indicies, ETFs and other synthetic instruments.
We are currently seeking interested Vice President to Executive Director level candidates to join our Macro Credit Trading team as a Fixed Income ETF Product Manager based in New York. This role reports to [the head of Investment Grade & Macro Credit Trading- TBD ]. The focus of the role is to lead product, marketing and sales initiatives internally across FID and externally with clients and ETF issuers. The successful person will work closely with the head of Macro Credit Trading, Investment Grade and Leveraged Finance Sales & Trading, as well as the Desk Heads in Rates, Municipals, SPG and EM Credit to strategically build out the Fixed Income ETF Platform at Morgan Stanley.
Primary Responsibilities
• Act as a main point of contact as a subject matter expert to educate distribution teams and their clients to help increase Fixed Income ETF trading, revenue and market share
• Drive client engagement and prospecting opportunities through client presentations, education, market updates and sales ideas to support specific ETF products
• Provide product expertise related to ETF mechanics including creation/redemption, pricing, and operational nuances of various fund structures
• Identify institutional use cases for fixed income ETFs by working alongside various sales and trading teams
• Partner with Trading & Strats to develop ETF content, commentary and sales ideas to support distribution
• Build and maintain relationships with ETF issuers to promote product growth
• Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues in Equities Sales & Trading to foster partnership and help unlock the cross-collaboration opportunities to create value across ISG
• Participate in client and industry events and conferences to promote Fixed Income ETFs
Qualifications:
Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in financial services, with 2 yrs+ dedicated fixed income ETF experience required, multi-asset knowledge including equities and derivatives preferred (options, swaps, etc)
• Strong relationships with key fixed income ETF market participants a plus
• Strong knowledge of ETF mechanics, including the factors that drive pricing
• Relationship builder with experience working in a collaborative manner across organizational boundaries
• Excellent communicator with experience presenting to senior leaders and clients
• Highly organized and self-motivated
• Strong analytical, research and writing skills
• Strong technical skills (Excel, Bloomberg, etc.) required
• Bachelor's degree required; CFA, MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Series 7 and 63 preferred
