The Portfolio Analytics Group (PAG) within BlackRock Solutions applies technology to analytic solutions for BlackRock's competitive advantages. The group plays a critical role in helping portfolio managers, product strategists, investment managers, client facing teams, risk managers and other investment professionals stay current on BlackRock Solutions' latest risk management tools and analytical capabilities relevant to their business function.

The Core Risk Analytic Solutions team within PAG focuses on enhancing how Aladdin delivers analytics solutions that are core to portfolio management and risk management decision-making at BlackRock. The team is looking for an analytics program manager who can advance how we deliver core portfolio analytics to generate actionable insights for our investment and risk managers through the latest Aladdin technical infrastructure, applications and Aladdin Studio toolkit. Team members achieve a broad understanding of finance, clients, and technology; they learn to navigate all groups at BlackRock to solve business problems. Strong performers often grow into team leaders with management opportunities to coach and develop junior talent.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with analytics content managers to ensure that next-generation analytic calculation engines and reporting platform are properly integrated into the Aladdin toolkit used by portfolio manager and risk managers
  • Lead team responsible for creating and delivering firm-wide exposure analyses in response to high profile market and credit events
  • Coordinate the execution of investment team and risk management user segment health checks of the Aladdin analytics platform with applied analytics leads in PAG
  • Improve how financial model deployments incorporate considerations for analytics integration with Aladdin tools used by investors, researchers and risk managers, programmatic access via Aladdin Studio, and the user support model
  • Manage senior relationship with BlackRock's risk management team, RQA, to forge opportunities for new collaborations in the application of existing data and analytics across risk segments


Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a highly analytical role in a technology or financial services setting
  • Relentless desire for understanding how processes work. Creativity in solving unconventional problems, entrepreneurial drive to learn new skills and technologies
  • Demonstrated relationship management experience. Established success delivering to a diverse client base
  • Strong critical thinking and experience using technology to solve problems at scale
  • Outstanding academic achievement, degree in business, computer science, economics, finance, mathematics or other quantitative field of study. CFA/FRM designation or progress towards CFA/FRM designation is desirable.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly
  • Mentor and develop team members and provide oversight on key initiatives
