Business Development Manager, APAC

The Business Development Manager will increase corporate sponsored revenue for our client's offerings across APAC. This is a newly created role, based in either Hong Kong or Singapore, focusing on growth of revenues from banking and financial services clients (investment banks, asset, fund and wealth managers, hedge funds, trading firms, etc.) across APAC.

As a specialist consultant and brand ambassador of our client's solutions, you will grow accounts and identify new business opportunities with clients globally to take the practice to the next level.

Key to this success are your excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and influence senior level executives. If you are a commercially minded individual with track record of developing business and increasing revenue, this role is for you.

  • Achieve year on year sales growth
  • Outreach to generate new accounts, pitching to senior contacts.
  • Identify, map out, and win new corporate clients
  • Proactive relationship-building with to help win new corporate business
  • Working with relevant societies/industry groups/other to develop sales and marketing partnerships
  • Converting opportunities into booked business through sales excellence
  • Drive attendance to client information sessions
  • Attend industry events and conferences within the APAC region
  • Managing data and information closely and accurately, by using relevant IT and CRM systems
  • Producing regular revenue forecasts built from pipeline

  • Experience of selling technical solutions into corporate clients
  • Experience of selling directly to line and business functions
  • Considerable corporate sales and business development experience in a global sales environment
  • History of working within a commercially targeted environment with explicit revenue targets
  • Pipeline management skills in the CRM environment required
  • Ability to sell in a high volume, metrics driven environment.
  • Ability to sell high volume complex solutions to both technical and executive audiences
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent telephone manner and written and spoken English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior level executives
  • Strategic and commercially minded
  • Mandarin speaker as target clients include Chinese institutions
  • Quant / risk background and knowledge of CFA, FRM, qualifications useful.
