This position is responsible for supervising the team who validates, analyses and produces performance, attribution and investment risk data. This includes providing data for client reports, as well as monitoring risk statistics for segregated mandates. The team produces investment analytics to the Board and Risk committee to assist in oversight of product and manager performance and their risk profiles.

KEY TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

Activities/Responsibilities:
  • Oversight and supervision of Performance/Risk work undertaken by the other members of the Performance Team
  • Oversee production cycles for investment performance and risk data for regular quarterly, monthly reporting.
  • Responsible for designing and validating underlying calculation methodologies to meet industry standards
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with GIPS for all our composites, including the annual verification by independent third parties
  • Produce investment risk monitoring data and analysis for the risk committee
  • Provide portfolio analysis & oversight information for all portfolio managers for regular review by a member of the Board
  • Provide the Finance department with performance information for bonus-incentive schemes, regarding portfolio manager remuneration
  • Provide data for fee forecasting
  • Respond to ad-hoc queries from client services and portfolio managers
  • Occasional attendee/presenter at Risk Committee


CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Educated to graduate level
  • 8-10 years' performance and risk industry experience
  • Knowledge of core IT skills and platforms including, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Dimension, Factset, BiSam, Northfield
  • CFA Qualification (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
