Job Description:
As an Analyst, this candidate will work directly with mid to senior level management and report to a Director on typical deal teams as assigned. The Analyst will take the lead on assigned modeling, presentations and other deliverables, as needed. Other responsibilities will include participation in financial and business due diligence, contract negotiations, financing activities and execution, and general support of the deal team leads.
Responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain complex financial models and valuation analyses, including DCF, trading comparable, tax equity structures and debt financing
- Present complex data analysis to inform leadership decision making
- Participate in day-to-day deal execution, interacting with deal team members and potentially transaction counterparties and other advisors
- Assist other deal team members in due diligence by coordinating the information flow, attending meetings between the parties, as well as reviewing and analyzing company information
- Work independently, producing high quality deliverables such as, financial models, Confidential Investment Memorandums, Investment Committee materials and other presentation materials for use in deal financings (tax equity and debt) and M&A transactions or investor materials
- Analyze and assist with tax equity and debt structuring
- Support due diligence process, including management of the virtual data room
- Maintain internal deal tracker (CRM), including tracking ultimate buyers and clearing prices
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field
- Financial modeling experience required, including strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experienced with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to multitask
- Passion for renewable energy and intellectual curiosity
- Ability to work independently with limited oversight
Desired:
- Renewable energy industry experience
- Project finance experience
- Strategic business consulting, valuation, and/or investment banking experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
- Competency in planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
