POSITION SUMMARY:

Nuveen is seeking a talented Product Analysts to support Nuveen Global Products efforts associated with the Global Fixed Income product line. The individual will support the Business Management and Product Execution teams. The Product Analysts will interact with Nuveen business units, including Global Strategic Relations; Distribution; Marketing; Investment Oversight; Legal and Compliance; Operations and Fund Administration in supporting product initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in managing the product life cycle from concept to launch through growth and maturity phases across Open-end funds, Separately Managed Accounts, Collective Investment Trusts and UCITS product structures
Design, maintain and execute new product setup (internal/external systems population, seed capital account initiation, product launch and invest-up procedures), product modifications (repurposing, parameter or guidelines changes) and rationalizations (product mergers, closures, liquidation)
Maintain relationships with data providers to ensure accuracy and presentation appropriateness Identify and communicate product information inaccuracies
Develop relationships and interact with appropriate subject matter experts, including Portfolio Management, Product Marketing, Investment Services, Legal and Compliance, Operations, Fund Accounting and Information Technology to obtain and/or facilitate delivery of projects
Identify and suggest process improvements, enhancements, and changes to department processes
Provide comprehensive issue ownership and resolution on all related product matters

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3-7 years of work experience in Investment Management industry
Bachelors degree required. MBA, CFA, CAIA and/or CFP a plus
Diligence, accuracy, and attention to detail
Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
Ability to organize and prioritize competing priorities to meet deadlines
Possess a blend of quantitative and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively
Proficiency in multiple investment and database software packages (e.g. SharePoint,/ Office suite of applications, Morningstar Direct, Simfund, and LANA) a plus, including the ability to rapidly develop professional PowerPoint presentations and in-depth analysis in Excel
Familiarity with accounting principles and securities regulations a plus
Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without formal authority
Looks to take on responsibilities and jump-start initiatives
Effective time management and organizational skills and essential teamwork orientation
