POSITION SUMMARY
The Investment Operations Associate will assist in the oversight of fund operations functions with external vendors, internal constituents, as well as interface with clients for specific back/middle office functions. The candidate will work collaboratively with Portfolio Managers in an entrepreneurial environment that will offer the successful candidate autonomy and ownership of key operational functions. The position will be based in our office in Westlake Village.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The team member will have specific duties including:
- Participate in the oversight of daily operations among service providers, custodians, and internal departments
- Play an active role in the client onboarding process
- Service client calls and provide quality service and an excellent customer experience to clients, consultants and other service providers
- Maintain compliance to the highest standards.
- Maintain adherence to policies, procedures & controls
- Prepare and review Operations deliverables including reports and other client requests
- Support special projects and initiatives for Operations and other groups on an ad hoc basis
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree; Finance, Business or Economics preferred
- 2 years of related professional experience working in Financial Services, preferably in back office position
- Knowledge of financial securities markets, language and products, as well as legal and regulatory requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment, both locally and across all offices
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical mindset
- Ability to work independently to meet project requirements under tight deadlines and with minimal supervision
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with Advent suite of products is ideal
