For our Product Operations Desk within Schroder Investment Management (Switzerland) AG (SIMSAG) in Zurich we are looking for a
ILS Reinsurance & Accounting Manager

Job specification
  • Provide and coordinate with internal and external counterparties operational support to the Schroder Secquaero ILS investment desk
  • Manage the OTC transaction execution process
  • Trust account handling (including release of collateral, controlling premium payments and counterparty relationship handling)
  • (Re-) insurance shadow oversight & collateral management
  • Coordinate and oversee projects such as implementation of operational changes, process developments and product onboarding
  • Analysis, control and management of data for internal and external reporting
  • Key relationship handling with external counterparties i.e. monitor the quality of services delegated to third parties (quality of delivery of services delegated and compliance with Service Level Agreements)
  • Regular contact with internal and external parties. This may involve routine information exchange; assisting others in activities such as selling, maintaining client / supplier relationships

Required profile
  • University degree or equivalent, CFA or CAIA (or equivalent accounting background) is a plus
  • A minimum of 8-10 years prior experience in the financial services industry, preferably in
  • (Re-) insurance and/or fund management
  • A deep understanding of the (Re-) insurance and asset management industry, including market developments, fund administration, regulatory challenges and portfolio operations.
  • Very good understanding in the Insurance Linked Security asset class
  • Deep knowledge in (Re-)insurance accounting
  • Solid understanding of legal frameworks and regulations for investment funds and industry practices (e.g. UCITS, SFAMA guidelines, GIPS standards, etc.)
  • Integrity and ability to interact with people in a firm and professional manner
  • Strategic thinker, self-starter and solution-orientated individual
  • Ability to manage projects independently
  • Ability to communicate detailed and complex concepts and ideas in a concise and clear manner
  • Fluency in English and German
