The CIMC Risk Officer will demonstrate knowledge in UCITS Managed Funds Risk Management landscape, in particular
Portfolio related risks. This role will be the key/central point of contact for internal groups in charge of portfolio risk
measurement and/or research and will help consolidate data produced by these groups for the purpose of ongoing
fiduciary oversight as well as supporting regulatory and/or client demands.
This role will have ongoing access to the investment management systems for the purpose of risk oversight and
monitoring. It will be integrated globally and will require participation/engagement to global investment risk
management related initiatives/queries.
The following responsibilities apply to the LXO-based Risk Officer:
• Responsible for fully understanding, maintaining and executing the CIMC RMP. This also
includes the development and maintenance of the UCITS Funds Risk profiles;
• Responsible for leading/coordinating risk reporting requirements as required from regulators through working
with internal groups;
• Responsible for leading/coordinating client demands relating to investment risk management;
• Ongoing and periodic oversight and monitoring of UCITS risk and compliance limits (requires full access to
investment related systems);
• Develop and provide risk reporting to CIMC Risk and Investment Management Oversight sub-committee, CIMC
Management Committee and CIMC Management Company Board.
Business & technical skills:
• Demonstrates knowledge and experience in managing risk management frameworks, in particular investment
risk management within an asset management firm;
• Demonstrates a knowledge of UCITS investment process and investment related risks;
• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of all investment services related systems and is able to effectively operate
them and work with ITG to resolve any potential issues;
• Demonstrates ability to lead, coordinate and manage initiatives across multiple teams or groups;
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of securities and the investment industry;
• Demonstrates knowledge of investment risk management tools, measurements and reporting;
• Understands and has experience of regulatory environment when it relates to investment Funds, in particular
UCITS Funds;
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the investment management industry as it relates to investment processes,
investment mandates, investment vehicle structures, investment instruments, investment operations,
competitive landscape, reporting and regulatory environment;
• Exhibits knowledge in current and possible future policies, practices, trends and technology;
• Knowledge and proficiency in Risk management tools and quantitative risk background a plus.

You will:

Lead on undertaking investment risk analysis for a variety of Portfolio Managers and the strategies that they are responsible for.

Prepare risk oversight reporting including VaR and stress testing and present your findings to the risk management committee.

Develop and implement new risk measurement frameworks and indicators as appropriate.

Own the risk oversight for the business' fixed income strategies in Europe.

Work with Fixed Income strategies and be open to learning about other asset classes.

It is essential that you can demonstrate:

Previous experience within an investment risk position for an investment or asset manager.

Strong working knowledge of Fixed Income and UCITs fund structures, and the relevant regulation.

Excellent communication and relationship building skills as you will work closely with PM's, the CIO and a variety of other internal clients.

Understanding of risk software such as Aladdin or Point.

An excellent academic profile including a degree in a relevant subject, the CFA or FRM would be very useful.
